Tremiti Islands can be seen from our apartments in Molise.
This archipelago consists in six islands: San Domino, San Nicola, Capraia, Pianosa, Cretaccio and Scoglio della Vecchia, which are a naturalistic paradise in the middle of the Adriatic Sea.
Each island has a main feature. San Domino and San Nicola are the only two inhabited and offer accommodation and commercial activities; Capraia and Cretaccio are uninhabited but very interesting thanks to Diomedee, aquatic birds, symbol of the islands. Pianosa, instead, is a nature reserve with pristine sea bottoms and a great variety in marine flora and fauna.
Finally Scoglio della Vecchia is a small rock linked to a legend for which during stormy nights an old witch appears spinning.
Tremiti Islands are a paradise to explore nature, to practice snorkelling, to dive or to discover sea caves on a boat.
From Termoli transfers to Tremiti are very frequent.
